CANCERLIT (CANCER LITerature) is a bibliographic database sponsored by the International Cancer Information Center of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). It contains over 1,100,000 citations and abstracts of literature published from 1963 to the present discussing all aspects of cancer. CANCERLIT is available through the National Library of Medicine's (NLM) Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLARS) and other online vendors, and as a CD-ROM product.

CANCERLIT was established in 1974 within NCI's International Cancer Research Data Bank (ICRDB) in response to the National Cancer Act of 1971. In the early 1980s, access to literature cited in CANCERLIT was enhanced by the addition of index terms from NLM's controlled vocabulary (Medical Subject Headings, or MeSH). Since 1983, most references to current journal literature in CANCERLIT have been derived from NLM's MEDLINE database via an automated search profile that is executed each month. To supplement this material, NCI adds references to journals and other publications that are not covered by NLM, such as books and book chapters, technical reports, meeting papers and abstracts, proceedings, theses, and monographs.
