Tamoxifen Side-Effects

Studies have reported an increased incidence of endometrial
(uterine) adenocarcinomas in patients treated with tamoxifen, and
this is an important issue now that the drug is being used in long-
term breast-cancer prevention trials. There have been recent case
reports in the literature suggesting a link between tamoxifen and
another type of uterine tumor, mixed mullerian tumors. Staff at
the Aberdeen Royal Hospital in Scotland (Evans; ICDB/95612255)
reviewed all cases.
