- Paclitaxel for non-small-cell tumors - A treatment program that
included paclitaxel (Taxol) with etoposide and radiation gave an 82%
objective response rate in non-small-cell lung cancer, with 42%
having a partial and 36% a complete response to therapy. This
according to investigators at the Sarah Cannon-Minnie Pearl
Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The study has not yet run
long enough to get survival figures, but 19 patients (58%) are
progression-free at 8 months post treatment. Greco, J Clin Oncol
