EMF Health Effects
For several decades people have been concerned about
possible adverse health effects from electromagnetic fields (EMFs)
emanating from radar, broadcast transmission towers, cellular
phones, and power lines. Biomedical research has also revealed many
potential beneficial applications of EMFs, from devices that promote
bone healing and localize neural activity in the brain, to new
technologies to relieve chronic pain. IVI has been collecting,
reviewing, and evaluating EMF biological effects literature
continuously since 1982. IVI supports both government agencies and
private companies with current awareness services, periodic and
ad hoc reports, and a commercial database covering bioeffects
and medical applications of EMFs from static fields to
radiofrequencies. Our products and services are used by clients
conducting risk analysis, formulating and evaluating research needs,
or trying to assess the state of knowledge in a particular area of
EMF research.
IVI has the capability and experience needed to
prepare readable
reviews that enable our clients to fulfill their obligation to
monitor research developments in support of their products or
programs. We have also operated a toll-free telephone information
line to respond to inquiries from the public regarding the current
knowledge of the potential risks of EMF exposure.
IVI is the only consulting organization that
maintains an extensive library of research literature linked to a
computerized
EMF Database that covers
international EMF bioeffects literature published from 1975 to
the present. In addition to quarterly updates to the EMF Database,
IVI publishes a bimonthly newsletter, the
EMF Health Report, and reviews EMF research literature on an
ongoing basis.
Contact IVI to discuss how we can assist you with your need for
EMF health effects information.
