Summary

Among studies of cancer-related changes at the cellular level that were discussed were the effects of ELF magnetic fields on cellular transformation in mouse cells alone and in combination with X-rays, cellular communication, and cell proliferation and viability, and the possible roles of EMFs as a tumor promoter. Immune system effects were addressed in studies of EMF effects on immune parameters in human and rat lymphoid cells. The third major class of articles discussed were publications on the effects of EMF exposure on differentiation embryonic cell lines and Schwann cells. [seven pages, 10 references].
