Summary

A new computer-based wire coding system for assessing relationships between residential magnetic field exposures and cancer is presented which is discussed in relation to wire codes from the Denver, CO area proposed by Savitz. A study from Finland underlined the significance of the effect of harmonics of the fundamental frequency on measurements made with 3 commercial magnetic field meters of power line frequency magnetic fields. The last article summarized here discusses the dosimetry of the field induced in elongated cells that are characteristic of muscles and the nervous system. [three pages, 4 references].
