Did you get an error message when trying to view the "Search / Purchase BENER Summaries" section of our web? Here is a list of possible solutions:

• Proxy servers/firewalls
  If you access the Internet through a company firewall you may not be able to use the secure system as it requires a different TCP/IP port to operate. Check with your system administrator that port 443 is available on your firewall; if not, then you will not be able to use any server via SSL as this is the standard port for it's implementation.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.x users (may also apply to CompuServe and AOL users):
  There is a problem with the Secure Sockets Layer version 3 (SSL3) implementation in Internet Explorer 3. Microsoft has confirmed this is an issue, and the workaround is to disable SSL3 support. To do this choose the View menu and click on Options. On the Advanced tab choose the Cryptography Settings button, and clear the check box next to Allows SSL3 (secure) connections. Internet Explorer will then use SSL2 to transmit data securely. You may need to restart Internet Explorer once you have done this to ensure that it recognises the change.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0/4.01/5.0 users:
  Please ensure that you have SSL2.0 and/or SSL3.0 ticked under the Security settings for Internet Explorer. For IE4.0/4.01 this is under View -> Internet Options -> Advanced (on IE5 this is now under Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced); look under the Security heading and make sure that SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 are ticked. If they are already ticked try the following: uncheck PCT 1.0, click Apply, turn on PCT 1.0 again, and press OK.

  It also appears that if TLS 1.0 is ticked that SSL will not work. Please ensure that TLS 1.0 is not ticked, as IE tries to use this instead of SSL rather than using the correct one for our site.

  You should then be able to view the Search BENER section. If this does not work, please contact our webmaster at Customer-Service@infoventures.com as you may have a different error. Please include a list of the Security options that are ticked so that we can test your configuration to find the problem.

• Any Other Browser
  If you are using any other browser and are having problems please check the following:
  1. If you have a firewall ensure that port 443 is available for use as this is the standard port number for SSL connections.
  2. If you are using a proxy server - many ISPs (Internet Service Providers) now use proxy servers such as FreeServe and Planet Online - please contact the adminstrator of the proxy server to ensure that SSL connections are supported.
