The authors analyzed data from a case-control study of invasive cervical cancer and carcinoma in situ with respect to occupation. Cases during the time period January 1984 to April 1992 were identified and enrolled from 5 cancer centers which reported to the Comprehensive Cancer Patient Data System. There was no suggestion of risk associated with electromagnetic field exposure. Risk of carcinoma in situ was slightly increased for working women but there were no notable associations with any particular occupational group. The authors concluded with a discussion of possible etiologic factors with an emphasis on exposures to hazardous chemicals. [BENER 12480]
