Weak Electromagnetic Fields in the Treatment of Gilles de la Tourette's Syndrome

The author described a case in which the application of pT strength electromagnetic fields (EMFs)improved visuoconstructional abilities in a child with Gilles de la Tourette's syndrome (GTS). The subject exhibited mild behavioral problems, primarily involving difficulties in sitting still and impulsive behavior. The patient was visibly more relaxed after the first treatment and showed no dyskinetic movements, tics, or vocalizations. His drawings showed dramatic improvement in perceptual organization with improved perspective and more details. This case suggests that pT EMFs may be useful for treating GTS and related disorders and may reverse some cognitive impairments associated with GTS. [BENER 12900]
