Occupational Exposures to MRI Radiation

The authors measured radiofrequency radiation exposures at positions relevant to occupational exposure around a 1.5-T MRI unit. Since exposures just outside the magnet bore, the most likely position for occupational RF exposure, were below measurable limits, the authors concluded there is little reason for concern. Overall, the data show that exposure to RF fields is below safe limits for personnel who routinely work within an MRI suite. [BENER 13359]
