A review of published occupational epidemiology studies indicates that, to date, no epidemiological study of occupation and cancer risk has obtained EMF measurements on cases and controls. Most studies have relied on job categories to assess exposure. In a few studies, representative magnetic field measurements have been made after the fact in specific occupational environments. Nevertheless, a number of studies have indicated that workers in electrical occupations have experienced increased risks of cancer, especially leukemia, central nervous system (CNS) tumors, and male breast cancer. The authors concluded that epidemiological results suggest that something associated with electrical occupations increases the risk of these cancers. [BENER 14670]
