Summary

A report is discussed claiming to have modified brain electrical activity in rats by application of external magnetic fields. Another report examined the effects of EMF on behavior in a group of 66 human volunteers which was conducted in a grounded wooden cabin located near a transformer coil. The experiment was conducted in such a manner as to compare subjects performance when they thought they were being exposed to EMFs to when they actually were being exposed to EMFs, thereby taking to account both psychological and physiological factors. A study was summarized which was to determine the effects of 50-Hz fields on cognitive function in human subjects. Another study evaluated the effects of an imposed rotating magnetic field on developing rats. [two pages, 7 references].
