Public Act (P.A. 91-317) was the legislative mandate which recognized the establishment of an interagency task force. It directed them to evaluate whether or not there were adverse health effects associated with EMF, and what advice should be given to the public. It also provided funding from an assessment of the electrical utilities in Connecticut for task force work. P.A. 92-169 renewed the original mandate. Monies from the original mandate (1991) will be expended by March 1995.
