EMF Health Effects Reviews
IVI has conducted focused EMF reviews for several
state and federal agencies. For the U.S. Department of
Transportation, we conducted a review with particular emphasis on
high-intensity static magnetic fields produced by magnetic
levitation (MAGLEV) trains and the extremely low frequency fields
produced by electrified rail and high-speed electrified rail
systems. For the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health
Sciences (NIEHS), we carried out a meta-analysis of epidemiologic
studies of power-frequency EMF exposure and childhood cancer. Also
under sponsorship of NIEHS, we operated a toll-free telephone
information line to respond to public inquiries regarding potential
risks of EMF exposure. Other clients and subscribers to our EMF
products and services have included the military, environmental
agencies, power companies, cellular communications companies, and
law firms.
