Occupational allergic contact dermatitis to formaldehyde and textile finish resins was described in a case report of a 19 year old female whose job involved the replacing of clothes in a large store. She developed itchy vesicular eczema on the proximal middle, ring and little fingers of her right hand. The lesions disappeared during holidays but worsened when she handled jeans or textiles she described as heavily starched. Patch tests elicited positive responses to formaldehyde and textile resins containing formaldehyde.
